Challenges of Manual Measurements:
Manual measurements of crimp depths and positions are prone to human error, inconsistent results, and are time-consuming. This method is inefficient and often lacks precision.

QuellTech offers an advanced solution using 3D laser scanners to inspect crimps fully automatically and with high precision. The scanner rotates around the component, capturing detailed 3D data points. This enables consistent and reliable quality control.

Radius Measurement After Deburring and Edge Rounding of Sheet Metal

Cutting and punching sheet metal often creates burrs. These burrs can cause injuries and prevent proper adhesion of coatings such as electroplating, powder coating, or paint. For this reason, sheet metal parts are deburred, resulting in a rounded edge (radius). This radius must be continuously measured and verified during production.

With QuellTech laser scanners, this measurement task can be performed inline. The QuellTech software allows flexible parameter configuration for sheet thicknesses and radius tolerances.

Pipes and pipelines for water, oil, and gas are internally coated through a complex process and traditionally inspected for coating defects using ultrasonic testing.

However, this inspection usually takes place only after the coating process is completed. With the Q4 and Q5 laser scanners, these defects can be detected and corrected inline at an early stage of the coating process.
